How to avoid an Employment Tribunal without alienating your Employees

After completing a Masters Degree in European Law in Prague, Hannah qualified as an Employment Solicitor in 2006. She then began her career at Weightmans LLP where she worked in-house at a FTSE 100 Company, supporting the senior HR team. After having moved to Manchester, she spent 10 years working for a large global organisation, where she defended tribunal claims on behalf of SME businesses and conducted her own advocacy. One of Hannah’s career highlights included successfully defending a college in respect of multiple claims of race and sex discrimination, unfair dismissal and breach of contract during a 17-day hearing. Whilst raising two boys, Hannah moved in-house to Anchor Trust, the UK’s largest care home and housing association provider. There she worked closely with the Board advising on employment law policy, which impacted strategy.

Hannah was later headhunted for then role of Senior Associate at DWF in Manchester, where she led the insured employment team, and then she became Head of Employment for a firm in Huddersfield.

Hannah recently set up her own Company, Little Pig 3 Limited, based in Halifax, and is now a non-practising Solicitor, in order to provide a more modern, personable and strategic approach to employment law and HR support for her business clients. She is also a consultant Employment Solicitor for the commercial law firm Paddle & Cocks, which has a national presence.

Hannah is a trustee of the local charity Focus4Hope in Brighouse and has recently been nominated for an award for innovation via Northern Power Women.
